How to email a large file?
By Victor Cohen
We all know that attaching a large file (5Mb or more) to an email message can easily stop the message on its tracks. Many email providers block email messages with large attachments. So… what to do if you want to send a large file via email? The answer is - use an online file transfer service such as http://EmailLargeFile.com (or similar sites). Using it is simple. Upload a file to the datacenter, then email the file link to your recipient. There are however, some cool features that this site offers for free and others may charge you money for. First, it allows your file to stay online for up to 15 days. You can of course set the file to expire in 7 or even 2 days if needed. Next, the maximum file size supported is 200Mb. It is pretty good for most users considering the price (free :) ). Other sites stop at 100Mb or less. Wait, there is more: - the file link can be sent automatically to up to 3 submitted email addresses, - you have an option to receive file download notifications (return receipts) in your email if you enter your email address, - the site can generate a short 'Twitter' link to your file which comes handy for twits as well as short email messages, - you can password-protect your file and even use a secure upload and download transport, which makes the site HIPAA compliant, - as I was told, their support people will answer your question within 24 hours if you place a support request. Doesn't matter if you are registered user or not. Hope this information is helpful. |

Good and useful service. I've had many a graphic file swallowed by the ether. By the way, the best way to promote your service via Qondio would be to add articles about various unrelated stuff such as your dog or operating system (or whatever). Then the articles will get picked up by the search engines, and people will land on your articles - and see the screenshot of the website. Good luck. Your service deserves more exposure.
